Team Members

Invite colleagues to help manage your affiliate program. Team members have full admin access to your Insert Affiliate dashboard, allowing multiple people to manage affiliates, view analytics, send messages, and handle payouts.

Overview

The team members feature allows you to:

  • Invite Team Members: Send email invitations to colleagues
  • Manage Access: Add or remove team members at any time
  • Collaborate Effectively: Multiple admins can work together on your affiliate program

Plan Limits

Team member limits vary by plan:

Free1 (owner only)
StarterUp to 2
GrowthUp to 5
EnterpriseUnlimited

The team member count includes the account owner. For example, on the Starter plan with a limit of 2 team members, you (the owner) plus one additional team member can access the dashboard.


Inviting Team Members

How to Invite

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Team Management section
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
  4. Click Send Invite

What Happens Next

  1. The invitee receives an email with a signup link
  2. They create an account using that link
  3. Once signed up, they automatically gain access to your dashboard
  4. You'll see them listed in the Team Members section

Pending Invites

You can view all pending invites in the Team Management section. From here you can:

  • Resend Invite: Send a fresh invitation email if the original was missed
  • Cancel Invite: Remove a pending invitation before it's accepted

Managing Team Members

Viewing Your Team

The Team Management section shows:

  • Email address of each team member
  • Display name (if set)
  • Role (Owner or Admin)
  • Date they joined

Removing Team Members

To remove a team member:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the team member in the Team Management section
  3. Click the trash icon next to their name
  4. Confirm the removal

When removed, the team member immediately loses access to your dashboard. They will need a new invitation to regain access.

Important Notes

  • You cannot remove yourself from the team
  • The account owner cannot be removed
  • Pending invites count toward your team member limit

Roles & Permissions

Owner

The original account creator is the Owner. The Owner:

  • Cannot be removed from the team
  • Has full access to all features
  • Can invite and remove team members
  • Can manage billing and subscription

Admin (Team Members)

Invited team members have the Admin role with access to:

  • View and manage all affiliates
  • Send messages to affiliates
  • View all transactions and analytics
  • Create and edit affiliate settings
  • Manage payouts and commissions

Upgrading for More Team Members

If you've reached your plan's team member limit:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Choose a plan with a higher team member limit
  3. Once upgraded, you can immediately invite more team members

Accepting a Team Invitation

If you've received an invitation to join a team:

  1. Check your email for the invitation from Insert Affiliate
  2. Click the signup link in the email
  3. Create your account with the same email address the invitation was sent to
  4. You'll automatically be added to the team

Troubleshooting Invitations

Didn't receive the email?

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Ask the team owner to resend the invitation

Link not working?

  • The invitation may have expired - ask for a new one
  • Make sure you're using the same email address the invite was sent to

Already have an account?

  • Team invitations are for new accounts only
  • Contact the team owner to discuss access options

Best Practices

  1. Invite trusted colleagues: Team members have full admin access to your affiliate program
  2. Review team regularly: Remove team members who no longer need access
  3. Use business emails: Makes it easier to manage team access
  4. Plan for growth: Consider your team size when choosing a plan
