Advanced Analytics
Advanced Analytics shows how your affiliate program is performing over time. Pick any date range, group it by day, week or month, and see revenue, sales and affiliate growth for that period, along with a table of every affiliate's performance. Everything on screen can be exported as CSV.
Advanced Analytics is an Enterprise feature. If you're on another plan, you'll see a locked card at the bottom of your dashboard instead.
What You Can Do
- See revenue, sales and new affiliates by day, week or month, over any date range.
- Compare with the previous period of the same length, so you can tell growth from a quiet week.
- Rank every affiliate by net revenue for the period you're looking at, with sales, renewals, refunds and each affiliate's share.
- Open a single affiliate to see their own revenue and sales across the same periods.
- Switch currency when your customers pay in more than one, either viewing a single currency exactly as paid, or comparing currencies side by side.
- Export to CSV: totals per period, per affiliate, each affiliate per period, or every individual transaction.
Getting Started
Advanced Analytics sits at the bottom of your dashboard. You can also go straight to it with app.insertaffiliate.com/#advanced-analytics, which is a handy link to bookmark or share with your team.
The first time you open it, your figures are prepared from your transaction history. That usually takes a few seconds, and only happens once.
Choose a Date Range
Use the date range dropdown for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, the last 12 months, the year to date, or a custom range with your own start and end dates.
Next to it, Day, Week and Month control how the range is split up. Choosing a preset picks a sensible grouping for you, which you can then change: last 30 days starts on Day, last 90 days on Week, last 12 months on Month.
Weeks start on Monday, and days are counted in UTC.
The Cards

Each card compares the total against the previous period of the same length. If you're looking at the last 30 days, the comparison is against the 30 days before that. A brand new program shows "No previous data" until there's something to compare against.
Affiliate Performance
Underneath the cards, every affiliate who made a sale in the period is listed, ranked by net revenue.
- Sort by any column by clicking its heading, and search by name, email or short code.
- Refunds shows how many; hover it to see the amount refunded.
- Share is that affiliate's percentage of your net revenue for the period.
- Trend is a small chart of their revenue across the periods on screen.
- Click a row to open that affiliate's own revenue and sales charts, plus a link through to their full affiliate page.
Tick Include affiliates with no sales to also list affiliates who didn't sell in the period, which is useful when deciding who to re-engage. The table shows 50 affiliates per page.
Currencies
If your customers pay in more than one currency, a Currency dropdown appears next to the date range with three kinds of view:
- All currencies (USD) is the default. Every sale counted in US dollars, converted at the time of each sale, so you get one comparable total. The revenue card also lists what was actually paid in each currency.
- A single currency, for example "EUR only", keeps just the sales paid in euros and shows them in euros exactly as paid, with no conversion involved. The affiliate table and exports follow the same choice.
- Compare currencies puts a bar per currency in each period, side by side. Bars are sized by their US dollar value so they can be compared on one chart; hover any bar to see the amount actually paid. The five largest currencies each get their own colour, and the rest are grouped as "Other".
Adapty and Iaptic only send us amounts already converted to US dollars, so sales verified through them appear under USD.
Exporting Your Data
The Export button offers four CSV files, each covering the range and grouping you're currently viewing:

Amounts are in the currency you're viewing, and every export includes a currency column. The transactions export lists the amount paid and its US dollar value side by side. Large exports are gathered a page at a time, so the button shows progress while it works.
Things to Know
- Days are counted in UTC, so a late-evening sale may land on the next day depending on where you are.
- Refunds are subtracted from net revenue on the day the refund happened, not the day of the original sale.
- Figures are as of when the page loaded. Refresh the page to pick up sales made since.
- Trials and free sales count as sales with no revenue attached.
