Creator Outreach

Creator Outreach lets you email the creators you've saved in Creator Discovery straight from the dashboard. Insert Affiliate buys and sets up dedicated sending domains and mailboxes for you, warms them up, sends a sequence of emails to the creators you can lawfully contact, stops following up when someone replies, and shows you the replies so you can answer from the same place.

What You Can Do

  • Get sending domains without the setup. We register the domain, create the mailboxes, configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and warm them up. You never handle a mailbox password.
  • Run an email sequence of up to six emails to your saved creators, with follow-ups that stop as soon as a creator replies.
  • Stay on the right side of the rules. Creators in countries that need prior consent are excluded unless you say otherwise, and every email carries your details and an unsubscribe link.
  • Keep a campaign supplied with creators. Each month we can add the creators your mailboxes can email, automatically or for your review.
  • Read and answer replies in the dashboard, from the same mailbox and in the same thread.

Getting Started

Outreach lives in the Outreach tab of Creator Discovery, next to Discover, Saved and Templates. It has three views:

  • Campaigns — create, launch and manage campaigns.
  • Replies — read and answer creators who wrote back.
  • Setup — your sender details, sending domains and warm-up.

Before you can launch a campaign you need three things, all in Setup:

  1. Sender details saved.
  2. A sending domain with at least one mailbox that has finished warming up.
  3. Saved creators with an email. Save creators on the Discover tab and unlock their emails on the Saved tab (see Creator Discovery).

Sender Details

Every outreach email has to say who sent it and give a postal address, so we add both to a footer on every email. In Setup, fill in:

FieldWhat to enter
Send asThe name creators will see. Use one they'd recognise, such as your company name.
Postal addressA real address where post reaches you, including the country. It must include a street number or postcode.

We add these and an unsubscribe link to the bottom of every email automatically. You don't need to write them into your copy, and you can't edit them out of a campaign. They always show your current details.

Sending Domains

Outreach is sent from dedicated domains, not from your own company domain, so your main domain's reputation is never at risk. In Setup, click Add a domain.

  1. Choose a mailbox type: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or SMTP mailboxes.
  2. Choose where visitors go. Anyone who visits the new domain is forwarded to the site you enter, so it looks like part of your brand.
  3. Search for a domain and click Check availability. This can take up to 15 seconds.
  4. Pick the number of mailboxes, from 1 to 5.
  5. Review the monthly cost and click Buy, then confirm.

We register the domain, create the mailboxes, set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and start warming them up. This usually takes 24 to 48 hours, and we email you when it's ready. Check progress refreshes the status.

Domain statuses

StatusWhat it means
PendingWe've received your order and are confirming it. If it can't be completed, the charge is reversed.
Setting upThe order is confirmed and we're creating the mailboxes. The row shows how many are ready.
ReadyEvery mailbox is set up.
FailedWe couldn't complete the order. You can click Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
ExpiredThe 12 months have ended. The domain's mailboxes no longer send or receive.

If an order fails, you aren't left paying for it: any charge is reversed.

Cost and the 12-month term

The monthly cost is shown before you buy: a price for the domain plus a price for each mailbox, in the currency your subscription is billed in. It's added to your usual Insert Affiliate invoice, not charged separately.

  • A domain and its mailboxes are bought for 12 months and billed monthly.
  • Domains can't be renewed. After 12 months they expire, and we remind you 45 days before so you can replace them.
  • If you cancel your subscription part-way through, the remaining months are invoiced together.
  • The price includes the credits to find matching creators and their emails for your campaigns: up to 125 new creators a month for each mailbox, starting once it has warmed up and its campaign is live.

Replacing a domain

Click Replace on a domain to buy a similar one with the same mailboxes. The new domain starts warming up as soon as it's ready. Campaigns sending from a domain are paused a week before it expires, and you can resume them to keep sending until then. A mailbox in its last week can't start a new campaign.

Warm-Up

A new mailbox has no sending reputation, so it spends its first weeks warming up before it carries a real campaign. In Setup, each mailbox shows its day count and whether it's Ready to send or Warming up.

A mailbox is ready once its warm-up period is complete and its warm-up mail is landing in inboxes. If too much is landing in spam, it stays in warm-up until that improves.

Click Adjust pace to change how warm-up runs:

SettingRangeDefault
Emails per day10–4025
Warm-up length in days14–6021
Extra emails added daily5–205
Reply rate %20–10030

These limits protect every domain we send from, so they can't be raised. You can also Pause warm-up and resume it later.

Campaigns

Open the Campaigns view and click New campaign.

FieldWhat to enter
Campaign nameAnything that helps you tell campaigns apart, such as "Spring creator recruitment".
Countries to contactLeave empty to include every country we can lawfully contact. Selecting countries narrows that list.
Email stepsUp to six emails. We start you with a suggested sequence; edit or remove any step. Each step has a subject, a body and the number of days to wait. The first-name placeholder becomes each creator's first name when the email is sent.
Days to send onEvery day by default. Choose at least one.
Send fromThe mailboxes that have finished warming up.

Click Create draft. The campaign shows how many of your saved creators can be contacted and how many are excluded.

Who is included

Only creators we can lawfully contact are included. A creator is excluded when:

  • they have no email address, or we couldn't confirm their country;
  • they're in a country where prior consent is needed before cold contact, unless you add that country and confirm you have consent;
  • they're in a country that only allows contact at a self-published business email, and the creator hasn't published one;
  • they're in a country we haven't assessed, unless you add it after checking what local law requires; or
  • they've unsubscribed. This can't be overridden.

The rules vary by country, and this is guidance, not legal advice: you're the sender, so you're responsible for checking what applies to you. In the campaign's People list, an excluded creator shows the reason. Where it applies you can Mark as a business (only if the creator operates commercially, for example with a registered company, a media kit or a public rate card) or Set their country, which re-runs the rules against it.

Launching

Click Launch campaign. Launching needs your sender details and at least one contactable creator. Emails go out between the days and times in the campaign's schedule, so the first one may not leave straight away.

  • Each mailbox sends up to 25 emails a day, with at least 15 minutes between its own emails. Adding mailboxes lets a campaign reach more creators.
  • Follow-ups are sent after the number of days you chose, only to creators who haven't replied.
  • To add capacity to a live campaign, use Add a mailbox on the campaign. It sends faster straight away, and the extra creators are added at the start of next month.

Pausing and stopping

Use Pause to stop sending and Resume to carry on. A campaign is Draft, Live, Paused or Stopped.

Results

A campaign shows Sent, Opened, Replied, Bounced and Unsubscribed counts. Click Refresh stats to update them.

Finding Creators Automatically

In a campaign's Finding creators settings, turn on Keep this campaign supplied with creators. At the start of each month we add the creators your mailboxes can email that month, in this order:

  1. Creators you've already saved.
  2. Creators similar to those who replied positively, and those you saved.
  3. A search based on your app details.

Nothing is added mid-month. Choose how they join:

  • Email them automatically: creators we find go straight into the campaign.
  • Hold them for my review: creators we find wait until you approve them. Click Approve all to add them.

You can choose which platforms to look on and a follower range, to keep to creators with a real audience who still read their email.

People and Outcomes

A campaign's People list shows every creator in it, with filters for Awaiting review, Not yet sent, Sent, Replied, Interested, Said no, Joined, Bounced, Excluded and Unsubscribed.

We read each reply and file the creator under Interested or Said no where it's clear. A request to stop contact is treated as an unsubscribe. You can set an outcome yourself with Interested, Said no or Joined, and your choice takes priority over ours.

Replies

Replies land on a sending mailbox nobody opens, so they appear in the Replies view instead. Pick a conversation to read the thread, write your reply and click Send reply. It's sent from the same mailbox and in the same thread, so it reads as a normal conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can use Creator Outreach? It's in beta for Enterprise companies we've enabled. Contact support to ask for access.

Whose domain do the emails come from? A dedicated sending domain that Insert Affiliate buys and manages for you. It's not your company's own domain.

How long until I can send? A domain usually takes 24 to 48 hours to set up, followed by the warm-up period (21 days by default). Plan for a few weeks from purchase to your first campaign.

What happens if my order fails? Any charge is reversed and you can click Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.

Can I renew a domain? No. After 12 months the domain and its mailboxes expire. We remind you 45 days before so you can replace it.

What if a creator unsubscribes? They're excluded from your campaigns and won't be emailed again. This can't be overridden.

Are my emails compliant? Every email carries your sender name, your postal address and an unsubscribe link, and countries that need prior consent are excluded by default. The rules differ by country, so check what applies to you before including a country we flag.
